Weekend Inspiration – Summer Love

Always been a big fan of Karla‘s style, and her love for vintage jewelry.

This recent photo of her at Santorini, Greece is just beautiful – sparkling sea, her adorable polka dot outfit, and of course, those amazing vintage earrings!!!

Have a great weekend!

Latest Street Style from Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a very fashionable city.  It’s home to almost every brand from low to high around the world.  There are ten Chanel stores in this city alone!

While walking around on my last day there, I tried to play street photographer to capture some of the stand out styles on the crowded streets.

It was really fun, but I apologize that some pics are a bit blurry…it is not easy to walk, shoot and try to be discreet at the same time. LOL.

Trip to Hong Kong…My Fav Spots

Just got back from my trip to Hong Kong, China and Japan.  I spent a few days in Hong Kong first….although mostly for work, I sneaked in a little bit of time to relax and enjoyed the city.

I’ve been to Hong Kong many times and just love the vibe in the city…fast pace, exciting, and vibrant!   Here are some of my favorite spots/moments on this trip:

View of the harbour early in the morning – stunning!

The Ritz Carlton Hotel (102nd to 118th floor in the ICC building)….the tallest hotel in the world.  Its roof top patio has the most stunning view!

IFC – International Financial Center in Central.

Nice to have a little down time to enjoy a drink on a patio with hubby at IFC.

Trying out great restaurants is a must when I travel.  This is one of the many great meals I had on this trip – 1 huge chilli crab, a couple of seasonal veggies, and 2 beers between my hubby and I at No Signboard – just heavenly!  🙂

Dinner at Nobu in Kowloon…what a view!

Inspiration from Hong Kong

I will be travelling non-stop for the next few weeks for work and pleasure.  First stop is Hong Kong!  Really look forward to meeting some business contacts and catching up with some old friends out there.

I will be saying hello from there soon.

For now, here’s a little inspiration – some of our favourite street style photos from Hong Kong.

Bazar St. Michel in Montreal

I was in Montreal last weekend visiting friends, and had a chance to pop into one of the flea markets in the city just an hour before closing – Bazar St. Michel.  Flea markets are usually a hit and (a lot of ) miss.  But I saw some great vendors and amazing finds, especially for home furnishing and accessories.  Because I went so late, a lot of them have closed up already.  I did, however, manage to get a few goodies.  Worth a visit if you are in Montreal next time.

Unconventional Bohemian Approach

With Coachella, beach vacay, road trips, and summer just around the corner, we are lusting for anything that’s boho-glam.

Our Livia necklace draws inspiration from the free spirited colorful Gyspet (“Gypsy + Jet set”) lifestyle – “an unconventional bohemian approach to life” . An eclectic mix of semi-precious stones, beads, and vintage charms offers many wearable options.

Check out this insta-collage of  Livia II necklace.   Can you count how many ways we styled it?  It’s one necklace, but lots of possibilities.

rule #1: Don’t follow the rules – Make it your own!

Recent LA Trip – Art, Food and Great Friends

I was in LA last week with my girlfriend, Kim visiting friends.  Always loved LA, but we found some really cool places and inspiring artists on this trip.  And of course it’s not a good trip without good food and company.

A cool pub in the art district – all they serve are beer and hot dogs – yum!

We were driving around downtown LA and found a long dark tunnel that leads to the LA river under a bridge.

She’s wearing Saisha necklace in photo above.

VIET Noodle Bar in Atwater Village is all about less is more – stylish, minimalistic decor and great food with simple clean flavor.

Funny posters on the street.

Went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena on Sunday briefly.  Didn’t find too many jewelry because we went too late, but did see a spooky bride in the middle of the market.  lol

Love this lounge set…wish I could take it on the plane.

We went to the “REVOLUTIONS” show by Shepard Fairey in Santa Monica featuring a set of 36 art album covers.  photo: Brandon Shigeta

Had one of the best Japanese izakaya before we went to the airport – simply delicious.
